Only hours before the end of the 2023 session, a proposal to make medical marijuana legal in Kentucky went through the state senate on Thursday after ten years of fruitless attempts. In front of a bipartisan group of lawmakers and supporters on Friday morning, Governor Andy Beshear enacted the legislation, putting Kentucky among the states resolving to end the prohibition of medicinal marijuana.
