New data that has just been released by the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) reveals that the marijuana arrests made in 2017 were more than those which were recorded in 2016. These statistics are surprising given the fact that, by the end of 2017, 28 states had legalized medical or recreational consumption of cannabis. In total, 659,700 people were arrested on marijuana-related charges in 2017, while the figure for 2016 stood at 653,349 arrests. A recent study which was published in the Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA) Pediatrics Edition has revealed that almost one in 11 American teenagers uses an electronic cigarette to consume cannabis.
