USA CBD Expo Optimistic About Resuming In-person Trade Show Gatherings at Atlanta Event

  • Scheduled as an in-person event June 11-13
  • Responsive to the COVID-19 pandemic with physical spacing and health strategy
  • Set in the heart of Atlanta’s Southern metropolis, in a state where medical marijuana has been legalized while neighboring states lag behind
  • More than 30 CBD and hemp industry-aware speakers on board, with more than 50 speakers anticipated
  • A floor plan suited to 300-plus SMB vendors
  • Exclusive opportunities for industry buyers and sellers to connect
  • Media exposure through event partners and attendees
  • Tickets specific to attendees’ needs — whether general admission or in varied industry professional roles

The United States’ largest cannabidiol (“CBD”) / hemp expo is preparing to reopen the floor of its internationally networked trade show series come June, when the USA CBD Expo resumes holding its in-person events at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta with health safety protocols in place.

The organization has made a name for itself as it has welcomed end-to-end retail consumers and small-to-medium-sized businesses for a large get-together of sellers and buyers across three days of vendor booths, keynote addresses and informational workshops. But the COVID-19 pandemic profoundly impacted the trade show industry’s ability to hold in-person events.

After a year of dealing with “the shutdown,” as COVID restrictions have come to be known, USA CBD Expo is again hopeful about being able to hold in-person events as infection rates decline, vaccinations increase, and society becomes more familiar with protective clothing and social distancing demands imposed by pandemic policy.

The Atlanta show was postponed from a February date to June 11-13 (Friday through Sunday) as optimism about the pandemic response increases. USA CBD Expo’s last show was in February of last year in Las Vegas, where about 10,000 attendees visited with some 300 vendors from the United States and Europe in the days just ahead of the shutdown (https://cnw.fm/V4h4J).

During the suspension of in-person events, USA CBD Expo organizers partnered with Alibaba.com to deliver U.S.-based supplements and CBD products through an online trade show that helped continue to highlight vendors’ offerings until the gatherings could resume.

The upcoming June event features a two-day admission for the general public and a three-day B2B-only business pass for professionals, traders and the press. B2B interests will find prospective networking opportunities in the trade space, particularly for those seeking career prospects in the CBD arena. And investors will find premium opportunities defined in the show’s health and wellness lifestyle brands.

The first day and a half of the event is designated for industry and business buying, while the final day and a half is geared towards the general public. Although there are a lot of demos, purchases can be made on site as well.

Georgia’s legal landscape currently allows medical marijuana consumers access to low-tetrahydrocannabinol (“THC”) CBD, standing as a slightly more permissive island than its neighbors Alabama, Tennessee and the Carolinas, which regard cannabis as fully illegal, and Florida, which has legalized medical marijuana for patients with select conditions (https://cnw.fm/Tmccy).
